We build the Cane Bed using a solid wood frame (e.g., teak, acacia or mango wood) combined with hand-woven cane (rattan) panels for the headboard/footboard. This design offers natural texture, strength and breathability.
The Cane Bed is available in standard sizes — for example Queen, King and/or customised dimensions. Please check the size options listed on the product page or contact us if you need a non-standard size.
Because cane is a natural woven material, we recommend- • Avoid placing in very humid or very dry conditions without climate control.
• Dust regularly with a soft brush or dry microfiber cloth.
• Avoid sharp objects or heavy impact on the cane weave.
• If needed, a gentle wipe with slightly damp (not wet) cloth, then dry immediately, will keep it in good shape.
We offer several finishes: natural wood grain, light stain, walnut/rosewood tones, and optionally painted or lacquered finishes. You can pick the finish at checkout or request via our custom order form.
Yes — for safe shipping, the bed is delivered in knocked-down (flat-pack) form. The package includes all bolts, nuts and an illustrated instruction guide. Assembly typically takes 30-45 minutes for two people, with a screwdriver and Allen key (provided).
Thanks to the solid wood frame and reinforced slats, the Cane Bed supports standard mattress weights plus occupant loads — suitable for up to ~250–300 kg combined (depending on size). The cane panels are decorative/supportive, not the primary structural element. With proper care, the bed is designed for long-term use.
The bed accommodates standard mattress depths. We recommend using a mattress that fits within the frame clearance (e.g., ≤ 30 cm deep) so that the aesthetic profile remains balanced. Box-spring mattresses can be used if the total height is appropriate for the headboard.
Shipping time depends on your location and the finish/size selected. Standard-finish beds typically ship within 4-6 weeks; custom finishes or sizes may take 6-8 weeks. We provide shipment tracking and safe packing with corner protectors and reinforced crates.
We include a manufacturer’s warranty covering structural faults (wood frame deflection, major joinery failure) for one year. The woven cane is excluded from wear-and-tear, but we’re happy to provide replacement panels at cost if needed. Please register your purchase and keep your order invoice for claims.
Absolutely! One of our strengths at NXTWood CraftCore is customisation. You can request: different wood finish, coloured lacquer, taller headboard, integrated under-bed drawers/storage, or alternate cane weave patterns.
